DeTours: Barossa

Join us for Ziptrak Stage 1 of the men’s race in the historic Barossa region. Located just fifty minutes northeast of Adelaide, the Barossa is home to some of the oldest vines in the world, providing the perfect backdrop for a day of food, wine & cycling.

Our premium air-conditioned bus will pick you up from the Tour Village, where you will make your way to a private pen at the Start Line in Tanunda. Enjoy complimentary coffee & pastries, then hear from Race Director Stuart O’Grady ahead of the start of the 150.08km leg.

A visit to the Barossa is not complete without a wine tasting. You'll head to one of the regions most popular cellar doors - Seppeltsfield - for a wine tasting.

Next, we make our way back to heart of Tanunda for a seven course Chef’s Tasting Experience at fermentAsian. Located the Main Street, you will have prime race views for 3 pass throughs, including the sprint on Lap 2 & 4, and the Stage 1 finish line.

Our bus will then drop you back to the Tour Village in Adelaide’s CBD. Check out some of our favourite things to see and do in Adelaide and continue your evening at your own pace.
