DeTours: Adelaide Hills

Located just 20 minutes from Adelaide’s CBD, the Adelaide Hills plays host to the Men’s Stage 5, in the final day of racing. Join us for a day of eating, drinking and prime race viewing as we make our way to Mount Lofty to witness the excitement of the finish line.

Board our premium air-conditioned bus from the Tour Village and head to a private pen at the Start Line on King William Road in Unley. Enjoy complimentary coffee & pastries, then hear from Race Director Stuart O’Grady ahead of the start of the 113.99km leg.

Next, we make our way Mount Lofty House for a delicious long lunch, served with drinks and canapes. Perched above one of Australia’s best cool-climate wine regions, you will be surrounded by breathtaking views of the Piccadilly Valley. Take a short walk and enjoy prime viewing for 5 race throughs, including the much-anticipated finish line.

Once the Stage has finished, board our bus to Grunthal Microbrewery to celebrate. Choose from a wine, beer, or gin flight, paired with a tile of four Udder Delights cheeses and crackers.

Our bus will then drop you back to the Tour Village in Adelaide’s CBD. Check out some of our favourite things to see and do in Adelaide and continue your evening at your own pace.
